I want electro & gluten free breadsticks

It's 9:36, we have no car, autumn is feeling glutenless stomach pain and I'm dying of starvation. Also, we saw awesome 8-bit jams kicked out on the street by fiendish young men hawking modded game boys. Easily the best thing I've seen to date. And I saw Matt Pond PA!

Non Mucuous Material

Just so you guys know, I've had some kind of slow leak of slightly bloody fluid leaking from my left nostril since about 630 am CST. I been sick since turning 34 last week, so didn't seem like a biggie, but the color is all wrong. Kinda a dark, apple juice kind of thing.

I'll post a photo next time if I can. Maybe a doctor could diagnose it?

After a lovely interview with very nice guys from The Constellations, we are checking out an evening of laughter from Comedy Central. Stand up by Maria Bamford, Todd Barry, hanah Buress, Pete Holmes, Natasha Legero, and Nick Thune, followed by peaks at animation by Ugly Americans.

We promise to sporatically document and post significant happenings from down south(west).

Jon's Short List - Airplane Ride to Austin, TX

Holy Crap!

Look at all these treasures we found in the safety guide on the plane, the skymall, and actually printed right on the plane.

Lobby of hotel is pretty ok.

SXSW Reporting Live

I'm a big idiot, but I used to live in Austin Texas, and um aware that it is warm there, and the last zip code I resided under had more musical artists per capita than any other in the states. I'm here a decade later, not to settle the cable bill, but to answer the question I've wondered: what the hell is SXSW, and why should I care?

jlo takes the helm as brother Jon & I report live from someplace warmer.

Jon's Short List - Detroit Coney Showdown!

I happened to be in Detroit on Monday so I decided to do a sweet coney dog challenge.

I went first to Lafayette and had two coneys with cheese and a coke. I then went to American and had the same but with a pepsi.

As it turns out, Lafayette wins!!

(and I had a TON of coney)

Jon's Short List - Chat Roulette

As promised, I went on Chat Roulette. (I was offended just about every 5 people.) Here are some screenshots of what I found.

I found it necessary to give the other chatters handwritten notes...

Interview with The Sound of Young America's Jesse Thorn, part 1

Via Providence, I was able to interview Jesse Thorn, host of Public Radio International program The Sound of Young America. Jesse was very gracious, funny, and willing to admit that he would murder guests because it was distinctive, and (possibly more shuddering) that he has shopped eBay for buttons that feature mother of pearl.
