Oh boy! It's that time of year again and I made you, Happy Hour Fan, this nice e-card. I used the Snood e-card generator that you can check out here. Now, if you don't know the majesty that is Snood, you need to do yourself some research, real quick like. Snood is a game where you shoot snoods at other snoods until there are no more snoods (numbskulls excluded). I played this game nonstop from maybe 1997 forward. What fun! Do I have a Snood tshirt? To conclude the point for a male audience, I found a nice video that I think showcases the power of an accent quite well. I know this is an Australian accent, which only made it to number 8 on the list, but allow me to press on. Regardless of the subject matter, which in this case I'm glad to say I am still entertained by even though it features Cookie Monster, the accent here I believe made me more willing to sit through the entire video. (Don't worry ladies, the video is talking about the origin of the phrase Om nom nom nom, so maybe you'll like it too.)

I am often amazed at the roundabout way I end up finding things on the Internet. This latest gem came to me as I was checking out the ol' Twitter. Wil Wheaton (of Stand by Me and Star Trek: The Next Generation fame) posted a tweet about a blog he's been reading called I'm Remembering! You'll find all sorts of great pictures of old TV shows, pictures of dorky families from the '70s and '80s, and much more there.

Anyway, there was an entry about this great show called Today's Special. By great, I mean typically weird '80s kids television show. I used to watch this, but I haven't thought about it in 15 years or so. At the time, I didn't realize it was made by those Canadians, but it makes much more sense now.

My goodness! The Metrodome where the Minnesota Vikings play collapsed after the heavy snowfall. Since there was supposed to be a game there today, FOX cameras were already set up and captured some footage of the roof caving in. (The game has been postponed and moved to Ford Field in Detroit.)

That was one of my Facebook status(es?) from this year, which I came across in "My Year In Status On Facebook" collage thing. I saw a number of people using this app on Facebook that chooses a number quotes from your Facebook status over the year and makes them into a little image deal. (I've included mine here.)

I usually think this kind of thing is pretty dumb, but when I looked at mine, I thought it was a pretty fun different way to look at my life over the past year. I'm not a person who posts my status to give ridiculous details about what is happening in my life, but I do seem to use it to mostly amuse myself (and possibly some friends).

I was grabbing some stuff out of the trunk of my car, when I noticed the emergency pull tag they put in nowadays. So, if you get trapped in a trunk somehow, the glow in the dark tag is there and you pull it and the trunk pops open.

"Cassingle Of The Week" :: Ace Of Base 'Don't Turn Around'

There I was, 4th grade, a mere youngster. A bit of a nerd of course because I wore glasses. But if there was ONE thing that could bring me into the circle that had girls in it, ACTUAL GIRLS, it would be the power of Ace Of Base.

Sitting on the school bus, cassette player in hand, wearing the headphones before anybody wore trendy white ear buds, I would listen to 'The Sign' album over and over. Who knows how many times that tape was flipped over listening to 'Wheel Of Fortune' or any of the other non-hits before making it back to the mainstays of 'The Sign,' 'All That She Wants,' and of course 'Don't Turn Around.'

I can still sing the lyrics without looking. Hell, I've done it at karaoke at Crunchy's in a bit of an intoxicated state. Probably more than once. What made this cassingle so great is the power that 'Don't Turn Around' had to it that let you know, "Yes, I am so much of an Ace Of Base fan that I prefer listening to 'Don't Turn Around' instead of 'The Sign'." Take that, Laura Dispenza, my fourth grade crush that went down in a ball of flames. I'll sing my way into your heart yet.

Hungry? Well, be hungry no more. We got you covered, 32 - foot long covered.

To celebrate "World's Egg Day" (my favorite day of the year), 65 Turkey chef cooked a giant omelet on a 32-foot long fryer. This cooking took 2.5 hours, 114 gallons of cooking oil, and enough eggs for you to make an egg bridge to moon, at 110,010 eggs.

Jon could be described by some as a bit of a city boy. At the same time, he is self-described as a person who wants to do everything. Self-described, because I'm the one writing this post.

For the first time, I joined the camo and blaze orange covered hunters this fall and was determined to get myself the BIGGEST BUCK YOU'VE EVER SEEN... or a small buck... or a doe. No such luck thus far. I've spent more than 20 hours hunting over 3 separate days and have only even seen 3 doe.

I've sat and waited and waited and drank pots of coffee and haven't had a good shot at a thing. I'm a bit deterred. What is it that makes people want to do this year after year? Does the feeling change once you get that first one? It must. Right?

Two things:
1) Any tips for me getting this first monster huge buck of my life?
2) For the non-hunters, what is the weirdest thing you have waited ENTIRELY too long for that is like this?

Also nicknamed coffee hullers ;) (ding! hint). So in this case, our cute Luwak is the source of where you get your beans. Brown brown beans. Or I like to think of it, the Luwak has personally, biologically processed each every individual coffee beans for you =). So the next time you travel to Indonesia, be sure to not miss your cup of Kopi Luwak that awaits your sip =). And as I like to conclude it, Kopi Luwak, good to the last dropplings ;D.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! If you can't find or remember what to be thankful for, at least the turkey will always give us a reason why =D Haha... But yes, I'm am thankful for many things, including the awesome show called "Happy Hour" with the handsome Ed Glazer, and I am thankful to have found this video =).

Ya know, watching this video, made me think that we should be thankful of the many things we have. Because for some other people, they can only dream of having.

‘Brew Masters’ Debuts On Discovery

For months, I have anticipated the debut of this show. ‘Brew Masters’ is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been talking about since getting into beer, and being an avid Discovery Channel watcher built the anticipation even more. The show is hosted by Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton, Delaware. Dogfish Head is currently one of my top 5 favorite breweries in the nation, so this helped build the steam in my mind, as well. The approach to the show can be expressed as ‘How It’s Made’ meets ‘Mythbusters’ meets ‘American Chopper’ meets ‘a delicious pint of 90 minute IPA.’

Episode one introduced us to the brewery, told us a bit about the process, sprinkled in some history of brewing and let us meet the characters of the show. And I do mean characters. Sam and his collaborators have a fun sense of humor that comes across in the show and have crafted themselves easily as likable hosts. I’m excited for the show and don’t really want to wait another week to learn about turning spit into beer!

…Until then, I better go find myself a Theobroma to cool me down.

Kris Kross' "Jump" is high on the top 100 cassingles in history, according to... me. There is no denying the power of two little kids rapping better than I would ever be able to, all while wearing their clothes in a way that may currently be described as "wiggity wiggity wiggity whack!"

1814 Beer Flood Sounds Like Heaven To Brother Jon

See now this would not be a problem for brother Jon. Drowning in beer? Come on...

So an accident, happened in London 1814, 3,500 barrels of beer caused a flood and drowned 9 people, also destroying 2 houses. In this case, it is safe for me to believe that this event would be a child's dream come true for our beloved Jon. As for me, it would probably be... something like immersed in a flood of dragon fruit juice.
